How to create an elegant Mediterranean-inspired table setting

In summer, the Mediterranean coast becomes the perfect setting for al fresco dining. Every year, I love seeking out charming spots where the sound of the waves, the gentle breeze and the sunlight create the ideal atmosphere for savouring those little pleasures that evoke a sense of calm and freedom.

When the setting is so inspiring, all you need is a lovely table to create unforgettable memories. And this time, I chose a corner full of charm, where the blue of the sea blends with elegant, natural décor, designed to help you savour every culinary moment to the full.

On this occasion, I wanted every detail to harmonise with the landscape. That is why natural materials, shades inspired by the sea and handcrafted pieces are at the heart of this design.

To begin with, the Bankla table has been chosen to shape this year’s composition. Crafted from dark wood, its Mid-Century-inspired lines fit naturally into a setting where the sea provides the perfect backdrop.

Surrounding it, the low Biel stools, with their deep blue hue, bring a fresh and carefree feel. Their modern aesthetic complements the natural materials and creates a truly inspiring contrast.

The furniture set invites you to linger over after-dinner drinks and endless conversations. To enhance the experience, all that remains is to set the table with tableware that reflects the beauty of this stunning setting.

Tableware and textiles that evoke the sea

The Alondra tableware range, one of the most elegant in Ofelia’s homeware catalogue, becomes the central theme of the entire scene. Handcrafted from ceramic, each piece in the collection reflects the charm of creations made with heart and soul.
