I’ve always believed that every table tells a story. And when I collaborate with Maca Julieta, I know that story becomes something special.
For Mother’s Day, she created a look that perfectly reflected our world: an elegant table full of subtle nuances, where every piece was chosen with care.
Her table was built around a key element: a grey cotton tablecloth. A choice that fits with my approach to décor, where natural fabrics take centre stage and neutral colours are the key to an elegant base.
Beautiful tableware that makes a difference: variety, texture and colour
Some tables are simply set… and others are set to stand out. And this one, which Maca Julieta set a few days ago, is the sort that invites you to linger.
Looking at it, one of the details that caught my eye most was the combination of different ceramic pieces. I like how the mix adds visual richness and how everything comes together with a very special sense of naturalness. It’s a freer, livelier way of approaching table setting, where nothing feels forced.
The watery tones of the Evora tableware, combined with neutral shades, create a sense of freshness and calm that envelops the whole scene.
I always say it’s the little details that make all the difference, and on this table, Maca paid particular attention to them:
- Indigo ceramic cups and plates in different shapes and colours
- The grey-speckled Potts teapot, with a serene and distinctive presence
- Oreti napkins, in military green cotton, introducing a natural contrast
These are pieces that do more than simply complement; they create an atmosphere. They transform the table into something more than just a pretty arrangement: into an experience.
Decorative elements
The arrangement should always be complemented by decorative elements that add texture and volume: subtle yet characterful Briselle-style aluminium pieces, and a ceramic tray, which serves as a base and a point of balance.
I particularly like how these details play with different heights and how the composition reveals itself gradually, without being too obvious.
If anything inspires me about this table, it is that way of creating without rigidity, allowing the pieces to interact with one another.
At Ofelia Home & Decor, we encourage you to follow this inspiration:
- Choose fine materials such as cotton
- Mix and match pieces from different tableware sets to add dynamism
- Introduce soft, natural tones
- Add decorative details with texture
- Create spaces that invite you to enjoy yourself without rushing
Maca Julieta’s table perfectly reflects the approach to interior design that I love so much: warm, thoughtful and purposeful.
Ultimately… a table is never just a table. It is the place where moments become memorable.
