Today I want to celebrate one of those days that awakens smiles and memories: International Cake Chocolate Day. For me, chocolate is not just an ingredient; it is the perfect excuse to share, to slow down time, and to enjoy the small pleasures that create home feeling.
On this occasion, we celebrate it in a very special way thanks to Lupe from Maca Julieta, with whom I share the same way of understanding the table: as a space where creativity, affection, and aesthetics come together.
Lupe has prepared a delicious recipe, as monthly in our collaborations: chocolate cake with strawberries and red berries, created especially for this sweet day. A recipe to savor and to let chocolate be the true star.

Table decor with ceramic tableware
To accompany the recipe, she has created a carefully curated and welcoming setting, styling the table with our tableware and selecting pieces that convey warmth. The table has been dressed in handcrafted tableware in earthy and brown tones, perfect for enhancing the sweetest desserts.
On this occasion, the table is set with Attic plates with a glossy finish, which add depth and character while enhancing the presentation of the recipe. The setting has been completed with bowls, cups, and ceramic accessories designed for everyday use; durable pieces with a warm aesthetic that invites enjoyment.
Cotton textiles and natural fibers, such as the Brenor tablecloth and napkins, add texture and lightness, creating a perfect balance between handcrafted and contemporary. Each element contributes without stealing the spotlight, allowing the chocolate and the recipe to stand out at the center of the table.
I love seeing how cooking and decor complement each other: how a recipe comes even more alive when presented on a thoughtfully styled table, and how tableware becomes part of the story we want to tell.
This collaboration with Maca Julieta once again reminds me that the table is a place to enjoy, to celebrate what brings us together, and to create moments that will stay in our memory.
Today, on International Chocolate Cake Day, I invite you to get inspired, to try this chocolate cake, and to imagine your own sweet table, where flavor and decor meet in perfect harmony.
