Celebrate with Ofelia the Burger Day and know the three recipes that participate in The Champions Burger.

On the occasion of International Burger Day, at Ofelia Kitchen we want to celebrate the great popularity this dish has reached over the years. This date could not be missing in our gastronomic calendar and to do it in style, we have gathered three of the most special burgers presented in the event “The Champions Burger”. 

With an innovative nomadic concept that will tour more than 15 cities, the aim of this competition is to find the best gourmet burger in the country. Hundreds of participants will fight with their most original proposals to get the award for the Best Hamburger in Spain 2024. Ingredients, flavours, plating... Everything matters for lovers of this dish which has transcended its humble origin and has become one of the most popular culinary options around the world. 

At Ofelia we are passionate about cooking and all those things that turn a recipe into an authentic experience, from its preparation to the result. We like to recognize that a dish as simple, easy and fast to cook as a hamburger can reach the maximum level of presentation with the right tableware. 

That’s why we join this celebration with three different proposals that will be present at the expected event. Rico Burguer, la Muralla and Jenkin’s have cooked their signature dish for Ofelia Kitchen. The desire to innovate and surprise are evident in each culinary formula. 

Rico Burguer was born in 2022 fruit of a family passion for the restaurant industry and the desire to grow the best essence of fast food. With three locations in Almeria, two Food Trucks and a restaurant specialized in burgers, the quality of ingredients and the combination of flavours is their best asset. 

With several burger restaurants in the Valencian Community, La Muralla continues betting on the boldest dining experiences. Since its inception in 2020, its cuisine invites us to enjoy intense flavours in its own burger kingdom. 

The interest in Typical American cuisine leads Jenkin’s to improve year after year its recipes. On this occasion, although they cannot win the award of this event because they were the winners in 2023 at European level, we could not miss the opportunity to know its own proposal.

“Trufada 2.0” Burger by Rico Burguer

Ingredients:

  • Frisian beef

  • English cheddar cheese

  • Caramelized bacon

  • Homemade truffled mayonnaise

  • Homemade fried egg yolk sauce

  • Crispy potato

Brioche burger bread and homemade sauces wrap this burger that is accompanied by chips. The secret is to hit the right amount of truffle to feel its flavour, but without overlapping the rest of the ingredients.  

For this burger, where the order of placement is very important for its plating is perfect, a flat plate of our Dakar tableware has been used. The ochre and black tones of this ceramic plate bring the aesthetic touch to this presentation.

"Bacon Pop" Burger by La Muralla

Ingredients:

  • 180g of meat Dry Aged Galician blonde cow

  • Bacon bits & crunchy

  • Double of cheddar cheese

  • Smoked egg yolk

  • Homemade PopCorn sauce

  • Parmesan powder

  • Pickles

  • Bacon popcorn

The hamburger of this dish is grilled, which gives it a more intense flavour that is completed with homemade buttermilk cream. A recipe where the spectacularity of its presentation is born from the visual combination of its ingredients.   

For its use, they have escaped from standards and have opted for an original cutting board from the Crebi collection by Ofelia. A very unique design for such a special dish.

"Emmy-B" Burger by Jenkin’s

Ingredients:

  • Potato Bun-J artisan bread
  • 180gr meat Black Angus USA Prime
  • Smoked cheddar cheese
  • Caramelized onion
  • Bacon bites
  • Pickled Pickles USA
  • Emmy by Jenkin’s homemade sauce

The bread of this burger is a homemade saloon, its sauce is the same that in the original American recipe, but it is accompanied by ingredients that complement it in an exceptional way. The result, a peculiar burger in which each bite is an explosion of flavours. 

Being a recipe with a lot of colours, for its presentation it has chosen one of the enamel plates from the Yaya collection. The mottling and colour trim provide a vintage touch that enhances the dining experience.
