Decoration is a passion that has always accompanied me, so when I created my brand, I thought of dedicating an exclusive space to the different places I visit which encourage my imagination. Travel, leisure and design... Ofelia place is an invitation to discover new horizons through the best hotel and restaurant interiors.
The following destination I’m going to talk about has everything you could wish for a good holiday and, to be honest, I was dying to share with it with you. Today I am taking you to the Hotel César Lanzarote. A place of pure Canarian essence, where textures and colours amaze you at every step. Get ready! I’m sure you will fall in love with it…
Located in a magical landscape, at the foot of the volcanoes and with the Mediterranean Sea in the background, the design of this accommodation gives the feeling of relax and greatly accentuates the cultural and traditional immersion. Staying there is connecting with the nature of the island and feeling completely isolated from any urban bustle.
The hotel, belonging to the Numa group, has been designed around the concept of “silent luxury”, and the sense of peace it gives off is truly incredible. 20 rooms, a restaurant, a pool, common areas, Mediterranean gardens… All the spaces have a very slow decoration that I really appreciate. I felt like at home and can say I have come back full of inspiration for my future designs.
Green, like nature, and white, like the purity of an idyllic island. These two colours take on prominence in every corner of the establishment creating beautiful contrasts with handcrafted furniture and sustainable materials. Here, textiles, fibres and shapes come together to promote well-being.
The decoration of the rooms is essential and promotes quiet nights and unhurried awakenings. Simple, minimalist and natural as I like them. Moreover, the restaurant is an authentic experience for all the senses. There, I ate the best Canarian dishes made with zero-mile products. The design could not be more beautiful: white walls, stone arches and lots of vegetation. Personally, I’ve loved the green bamboo and rattan chairs and the seagrass rugs that dress the floor.
As for the outdoors, it would not be an exaggeration to say that they touch paradise. You can’t imagine how much I enjoyed the private terraces with their wooden sun loungers and parasols. I spent hours and hours reading or simply contemplating the wonderful views over the island. My favourite moment? The sunsets, which are already especially beautiful in Lanzarote, create here beautiful reflections of light on the pool, the gardens and the facade of the estate.
Balance, harmony, tranquillity... I lack words to define a stay at the Hotel César Lanzarote. As an interior designer, it has been a pleasure to discover a place designed with so much care and attention to detail. At all times, the interior design envelops its guests. For me, it is a clear example that decoration, wherever we are, brings us a wealth of benefits.
This Ofelia place will open your mind and encourage your imagination.
