These days when it is quite uncertain to travel, I thought it would be difficult to find a destination where to enjoy this holiday, until I discovered Nomad Hotel in Javea. Lodging there has been a real journey.

Its handcrafts from different parts of the world, the 14 rooms with 4 different designs, decorated with noble and sustainable materials, its fine coffee, its unique activities,... are all experiences and memories that recall and remember the travelling life of Mónica and Dieter. A few years ago, the couple decided to build the hotel of their dreams. That is why they say that NOMAD Hotel Collection is a way of life, it is the result of their personal story inspired by their travels around the world over the last 20 years.

Their passion for travelling, for the interior design, architecture and slow life can be observed in their simple and cosy rooms with an exotic touch. Designed based on the Feng Shui philosophy and facing the sea, they are peaceful and relaxing thanks to their clean, organic lines and the purity of the handcrafted furniture, lamps and wickerwork.

The hotel's design reflects its Mediterranean character, located right on the seafront of Playa de la Grava, in the Port of Jávea. The refurbishment of the building is based on a sustainable concept. Reclaimed antique wood, adobe wall plaster, terracotta, ceramics and old Valencian hydraulic tiles combine naturally with a selection of ethnic objects and small treasures collected during their journeys in Asia, the Middle East and Africa.

The Nomad experience would not be complete without the cuisine. Their restaurant Terra is "fine casual" and local, where all dishes are prepared with fresh ingredients. Here you can enjoy a Mediterranean gastronomic experience, with a special emphasis on the cuisine of the Marina Alta with subtle influences from the south of France and Italy.

The flavour journey doesn't end here because you can also find Café Nomad, a 100% Arabica single-origin, seasonal speciality coffee that varies depending on the season, from different plantations and small producers, and is part of the 10 Michelin stars route.

Of course, you will be fascinated by some of their decorative objects from Africa, Asia, Scandinavia and the Middle East, and you will love them even more when you find out that they are made by small family businesses or cooperatives that empower communities. And the best thing is that you can buy them or order them (if they are not available) from the Travel Gallery. So, you can bring the NOMAD spirit into your home with a selection of handmade treasures, such as jewellery, bags, prints, books, deco objects... and furniture. Or even build your own home through NOMAD Homes with its nomadic essence, based on sustainable construction and design.

I thought my NOMAD living experience was complete, but I was wrong. I was missing the icing on the cake, NOMAD Away. Unique, personalised experiences based on local gastronomy, nature & mountains, sea, culture, health, and beauty. I'm in between a picnic on a boat or yoga with a healthy breakfast.

If you are a fan of authenticity, simplicity and craftwork, and you think that travelling is more than just seeing places, you already have a new destination to visit.
