There is something about the arrival of summer that changes everything. The days grow longer, and the desire to celebrate every little moment multiplies. For me, preparing a beautiful table decor at home is a way to say to summer: "I've been waiting for you." This month, I wanted to welcome the new season with a simple but very special proposal from my dear friend Lupe Herrera. Her cold lime and lemon dessert recipe is the centerpiece of a table setting that, with very little, has it all: freshness, flavour, and details that fill any gathering at home with charm.

Collaborating with Lupe every month has become one of those routines I look forward to. She always has table decor ideas that start from the everyday and end up being little celebrations. This time, her recipe is meant to be shared at a summer lunch or snack. Refreshing, smooth, and with that citrus touch that awakens the senses, her cake is easy to prepare and so beautiful it becomes part of the decoration by itself. I like the idea of letting the food speak and take its place on the table as another style element.

To accompany it, we chose a selection of pieces from our usual tableware. Ceramic plates in off-white with a grey rim, natural fiber placemats that add texture without overloading, and some black handmade ceramic bowls that we love for their organic shape and matte finish. Everything harmonizes with cotton textiles, rustic stone-coloured napkins that bring warmth and a casual, very summery vibe.

This neutral base palette is also strengthened with the glassware. The Belmira drinking glasses and Evan glass jug add sobriety and distinction, with the food and drink providing the colour highlights in this case. These glasses are perfect for enhancing lemonades. I always recommend them to give a special touch to summer drinks. A simple way to improve any summer table decor.

This proposal not only aims to inspire you to decorate a charming table but also to remind you that the objects you choose for your home matter. That a well-set table isn’t just for special occasions but a way to care for yourself and your loved ones. That artisanal tableware can accompany you for many summers, that timeless cotton napkins and table decorations designed with attention to detail transform everyday life.

At home, decorating is not just about beautifying. It’s about creating moments. It’s about welcoming summer as it deserves. It’s about pausing, making a homemade cake, and sharing it. It’s about sitting down without rush and toasting with lemonade. I hope this table inspires you to create your own. And if you try Lupe’s recipe, don’t forget to tell us. We love being part of your most beautiful moments and accompanying you with our table decor ideas in every season.
