Paris is worth repeating. This summer I had already told you about how fascinating this city is. My getaway this month and my experience in the French capital could not go unnoticed.

Today I would like to talk about a simple and small place where you can have a great gastronomic experience. A space, or two, where flowers and lovingly prepared, gluten-free cuisine are its hallmarks.

And I say two because this café-restaurant has similarities with Ofelia, just as I count two houses in Madrid, La Guinguette d'Angele also has two locations. The first and original one is located at 34 rue Coquillière. It is a tiny little kiosk literally full of plants with a markedly bucolic character. Its flowers, striped awning and hand-written blackboards are a temptation for its seasonal cuisine..

This food establishment, due to its small size, only has take away food. This, far from being a disadvantage, has become a differential value that allows you to take a homemade menu anywhere. I suggest you get one of their lunch boxes and enjoy it in the nearby Jardins du Palais Royal or in the Tuileries.

The second, called La Guinguette d'Angele a L'Alcazar at 62 rue Mazarine, is a charming restaurant in the Marais area that is also remarkable for its small size and its Sunday brunch.

Despite its modest size, this restaurant, part tearoom, part take-away café, is a surprising place: a colourful and balanced atmosphere that fills you with energy with its décor, its greenery and its healthy, homemade food. This place follows in the footsteps of the previous one and, as well as offering takeaway food, brings the best of the homey spirit to the street thanks to its cosy terrace with wooden tables and chairs, surrounded by baskets, vases, lanterns and pots.

The interior has a simple but well-defined design: wood, a palette of pastel colours, plants, flowers, even dried ones, and a good number of antiques, the kind of antiques that increase with time, among its decorative objects. Its layout is well used, with a limited number of tables set alongside the wall, following a built-in bench and ending in a tiny tiled bar with a vintage look.

All thanks to the taste and dedication that its owner Angèle, a naturopath and author of several books, has put into these so-called culinary temples. Angela's cuisine is authentic and colourful, offering only creative recipes based on the benefits and nutritional qualities of each food, where she mixes cooked and raw seasonal vegetables, legumes, edible flowers, and organic food. All this can be served in combination with their detox juices.

If there is one thing we have learned from this experience, it is that size does not matter when it comes to designing a home. Only the passion and authenticity you project in it.

As proof of this, you can see our stand at Maison&Objet, where we will be exhibiting from the 17th to the 21st of this month. Find out more about the details that inspired its design here..

And some tips if you would like to bring it into your home as well:

The table and a few touches of warmth in the decoration will be the protagonists on this occasion: our  Drop (6)Karma (1) and Carrara (2), dinner sets, made of ceramic, have a variety of bowls that are perfect for sauces, creams or as food bowls where each diner chooses what to put on their plate. We did not forget the cutlery, our Rodín model, with a simple and aged design, combines easily and has many pieces. With textiles such as our Mijares seat cushion you can provide comfort and make your outdoor chairs cosier. If your home doesn't have much space either, the Emerilate hanger  is the key to make use of most of the walls and back doors of wardrobes. Flowers are a must if we want to bring life to a space.  Transparent glass jars with aromatic mixtures are as practical as they are decorative, providing both aroma and colour. Baskets made of materials such as rattan, like our  Sol basket , help you to keep everything on hand and tidy.
