This time, I will not talk about one particular place but about as many places as homes. This year it's time to go on holiday at home and, why not, enjoy the simplest pleasures peacefully, without queuing, rushing, travelling, caravans or delays.
This could be a good occasion to give life to outdoor spaces: patios, gardens, terraces, balconies... and also windows. I suggest that you let the outdoors come into your home, rediscover emotions and take control of your time, because there is no place where we are more authentic than when we are at home. There are two elements that give us inner and outer stability: nature and water. Large houses or those with landscaped areas have it easy. A swimming pool, whether in stone, tile or brick, connects and relaxes us. Not only because of the swimming, but also because of the sound of the water and the possibility of walking barefoot feeling the texture of the materials.

Another option are ponds or fountains, which can help us in these quarantine days, filling us with freshness and peace. They can be combined with plants and deckchairs or other outdoor furniture for lounging or sunbathing.

If the weather is fine, simply reading barefoot or with wet feet is enough to change the mood. You can even pack a picnic, meditate, or take a nap. Cushions, textiles, and blankets provide a more comfortable way to spend the time outside, adapt to the different weather conditions or prolong the hours until the evening.

Whether in larger spaces, such as gardens or patios, or smaller ones, such as balconies or small terraces, nature can always be present, so you should not hesitate to use pots, flowers, plants... they will fill your home with life and optimism. Just with their presence you will endow that space with charm. Candles also create a very pleasant atmosphere. You can combine different types of candle holders or use them on the wall if you don't have much space. Besides providing a very cosy light, they can also give you a pleasant scent if you choose the aromatic ones.

Rugs also help to identify spaces, baskets and small auxiliary furniture such as tables and stools can be very practical if you don't have much space. Wall decoration is also an original way to personalise your space: you can put vases, flower pots, dream catchers,... the limit is set by your imagination.

If you have a small terrace or balcony, folding furniture is your best choice. This allows you to adapt the area according to your needs without having to give up a meal or a coffee. You will always have the floor with some good textiles or a large window to get some fresh air. As you can see, holidays are not synonymous with travelling, they reflect an attitude.
