I love side tables. They have the power to make all the difference in a space. Their dimensions shouldn't confuse you; end tables have ceased to be an accessory and have become an almost essential piece of furniture. Not only do they enhance the décor of a room, but they also make life easier. You can always leave your mobile phone charging, place that vase that claims its place, rest that book you've just finished reading or that cup of coffee you're savouring while you relax in the armchair. They are really functional, and I think they are more than just there to fill an empty space.
Usually used in the living room or dining room, they are also welcome in other areas of the house such as the bedroom, terrace, or garden. Decorating your home with side tables means making the most of them, because, as well as placing them in any bare or unused corner, you can gain space by using them as extra storage with great decorative potential.

If you like them, but don't decide how to use them, join me to discover some ideas for decorating your home with side tables. The living room is probably the first place that comes to mind when you think about where to place a side table. Of course, you spend a lot of time there, with family or friends, or even on your own when you want to enjoy a moment of relaxation. A good place to put them would be in the middle of the living room to use as a coffee table or next to the sofa with a lamp to create a cosy and warm atmosphere. You can also add a plant, place some books or decorative objects, such as a sculpture, antique or vase with flowers. End tables are also very useful for keeping your remote control or mobile phone close at hand while you watch TV, or if you need an extra table at a meeting to keep glasses and a drink nearby.

In the kitchen, you can use them as an extra surface or as an extra work area, placing those kitchenware accessories that you use often, but that you don't want to take up space on the worktop. Kitchen side tables are also the perfect place to place small appliances such as toasters, blenders, mixers, blenders, or you can use them to create a stylish coffee corner. Add some pots with aromatic herbs or a fruit bowl to create a fresh and natural effect.
If you have a small kitchen or dining room, having a serving trolley table is a great idea, as it helps you keep things tidy in the kitchen and, at the same time, you can bring it into the dining room to free up space on the main table.

You can use them in the bedroom for reading lamps, books, clocks and other personal items. Or as a bedside table for a breakfast in bed at the weekend or for a cup of tea before bed. In short, it is a great option as a bedside table, especially if it has a drawer in its design. To decorate it, a few photos, a jewellery box, along with a scented candle and a vase with flowers are my favourite options.

The bathroom is another place where I don't do without them. They are very useful for keeping towels and cosmetic products at hand. I like to add some scented soaps, candles and a mirror to give a decorative touch.

This time of year, garden side tables are a must-have for enjoying your outdoor spaces. You can use them to leave a magazine, sun cream and even have an aperitif. Another option that I love, especially if you live in a city, is to fill them with pots to create a greenery on the terrace. I usually opt for rattan side tables because this natural fibre adds a fresh and exotic touch to the décor, as well as being a fairly resistant material.

As you can see, side tables can be a key element in any home. Their versatility and ability to adapt to different styles and spaces make them essential when decorating. Whether in the living room, bedroom or office, these end tables can make a big difference to the functionality and aesthetics of any space. Don't doubt to use these ideas and create a stylish corner!
