What is it about spring that makes it so special? It is undoubtedly the prelude to summer and these months provide me with many of the best moments spent around the table, where I share my most original menus and the most fun times. This time of year is always a good time to enjoy an informal family meal or a celebration in petit comité with my friends. Sometimes these get-togethers come up out of the blue and I become a hostess unexpectedly. As a lover of details, even if it's a casual meal, I always take care of every last tableware accessory. You know that the way you prepare and decorate your table, as well as your home, says a lot about you.
When it comes to decorating a table, the main element is always the tableware. Now that the routine is more relaxed I still don't always have much time for preparations, so I go for a classic, with a little twist, like my Milos ceramic tableware. This complete crockery set is handmade and glazed in light grey matt. Its neutral tone and design with small irregular touches make it a timeless piece perfect to dress your table both in everyday life and in more special occasions.
Its handmade process and its organic shapes allow it to adapt to different tastes and styles: minimalist, rustic, Nordic... In addition, neutral colours never fail. Grey tableware is a fantastic option when decorating a summer table. It brings luminosity and combines very well with other shades, materials and different styles of textiles, glasses...
This allows me to leave the table in full view, playing with the contrast between the ceramic and the wood. This way I replace the conventional tablecloth with placemats in natural fabrics and textures such as cotton, in white with a very soft touch of colour. I add napkins in the same material and tone and also wooden trays and boards, rattan baskets... Forget about perfection! Look for practicality and create a relaxed atmosphere. Give free rein to your creativity, go for a decoration without rules, like me, let your imagination flow. Dare and play with different textures, materials and even shapes. This time the challenge is to create a table with a lot of style and minimal details.
Give the final touch to the table and create a warm and soothing atmosphere with natural elements. Add a few sprigs of dried or artificial flowers in a small corner of the table, for example, on a small wooden board or creating a table runner. I assure you that they will add the perfect finishing touch.
I invite you to visit my online shop or my physical shops and discover this beautiful tableware so that craftsmanship and style won’t be missing from the decoration of your table this summer
