You know how much we love gathering around the table and, now that we are approaching the time of year when food celebrations take centre stage, we are eagerly awaiting this period beforehand, thinking about the meetings and preparations. Even more so this Christmas when we gather again.

This occasion has become so special that we have a new section in our blog, where we propose versatile and accessible ideas, which you can then adapt to your home and to your taste. Let's get started!

Most of the moments we remember from every Christmas have been toasting with our family and friends, trying new dishes, or the traditional recipes. No doubt that the table and the kitchen are the main protagonists of these holidays. For this reason, we have created a Christmas table decoration proposal by Ofelia which is full of special, warm, timeless and, why not, also practical objects that you can use all year long. The secret lies in creating a cosy atmosphere, combining objects, colours, textures and materials.

For starters, we suggest dressing your table with a textile, whether it be a  tablecloth tablecloth that covers the entire surface, a table runner or a tablecloth that acts as a table runner, as in the case of the table we have prepared. Although it may seem a little casual, this helps to create volume and to distribute the services, as well as marking an area for decoration without disturbing the diners. Here you can place the decorative objects that you like the most. On our table we have opted for floral arrangements  cwith a eucalyptus base and bunches of preserved red flowers. With the same idea, you can make a small floral arrangement to place on each plate and decorate the napkin. As for the candles, there are many options, in candelabras, in candle holders,… you decide. We have opted for mostly plain  candles in different sizes.

No doubt, the other protagonist is the tableware. For this festive occasion, a renewed classic, our  Milos tableware, our latest hand-glazed ceramic tableware in a light grey matte colour. Its irregular small touches give it an interesting organic character, as well as a rustic touch, without being so strident. Its design makes it easy to fit in with the cutlery and glassware. Its sobriety highlights the washed cotton textiles, the  candle lighting and the classic colour palette based on reds, greens and whites.

For this kind of meal, the previous aperitif, while all the guests arrive and the final preparations are completed, as well as the after-dinner conversation, are part of the celebration. This is the moment to enjoy a glass of wine or a cup of coffee together with good company. For this first meeting you can choose furniture next to the table that you can use as a bar or side table, which can also help you during the meal so as not to overload the table. Decoration and tableware that continue the same decorative approach are the perfect allies.

This is the time to add new elements such as decorative bottles and tableware accessories, such as trays, cake stands, serving cutlery,...

If the party goes on too long, it's time for the living room, where you can make the most of the sofa, armchair and textiles (blanketsrugscushions,...). Soft lines, natural fabrics and small focal points of light bring a real homey warmth.

In each one of the rooms, we look for personality using materials such as wood and rattan, as well as antique and unique pieces. Feel free to make your personal combinations that reflect the style you feel and that add comfort to your room, as you know that you always add the magic.
