As I mentioned, the kitchen is part of my day-to-day life and is one of the main spaces in my home. For this reason, I have opted for a kitchen that is open to the rest of the house. This allows me, on the one hand, to make more use of the space; if you look at mine, it is laid out in a linear L-shape. On the other hand, it increases its decorative possibilities, as it coexists with other spaces such as the dining room.
To make it fully integrated, I have chosen to use wood as a common material with a neutral palette of light colours, in order to match the rest of the room and share the same decorative style. It is important to combine all the elements: kitchenware, kitchen accessories, lighting, textiles... to create a cosy space. Don't forget to add your personal touch, so that it reminds us that it is your own space that speaks for you.
While it is still a place of enjoyment, the kitchen is essentially a working area. That is why it is important to have good lighting. Even though I have plenty of light, thanks to its orientation, it is always good to reinforce it for the most delicate tasks, for example when I am chopping and cutting food. That's why my Tacana table lamp is a must on my worktop. Its transparent glass base doesn't clutter the space and gives it a very original design, together with its natural fiber lampshade.
