Rustic is perhaps one of the simplest and most natural of all the decor styles. With it, we can convey many feelings of peace and tranquillity. I consider myself a big-city person, very attached to urban life, but I feel a deep placidity when decorating a rural house. Actually, it is very easy to identify with this bucolic and familiar spirit. The materials, the colours, the furniture... All the elements interact with the surrounding environment and manage to recreate the atmosphere we all want. Today, it's time to break free from the hustle and bustle and feel the charms of rural decoration more than ever.

As you may have seen in my previous posts, this house is pure warmth! We enter and the "slow life" effect is immediate. The living room, the first room that welcomes us, is the very expression of what we call home. Wooden beamed ceilings, salmon-coloured walls, terracotta floors, discreet and dim lights, soft textiles... Come on, rustic décor in all its glory.

It is a place that makes us feel free, but also very protected. Peace reigns here. I don't know you, but I see myself there, curled up in a blanket and getting lost in reading or watching movies for hours on end. The spaces are connected to each other, as is usual in the decoration of rural houses. Quiet, small, but so comfortable... Likewise, the open kitchen integrates perfectly into the living room and accentuates all the comfort and family character of the ground floor.

It seems remote, but it's actually a place with incredible potential. The L-shaped kitchen further explores all the features of rustic design. The presence of wood says it all: here, it rewards the natural and the traditional. Even the kitchenware and all the accessories add to this authentic country atmosphere. Just imagine: a sturdy, simply dressed table, handmade tableware and one of the best Valencian dishes to enjoy with the family. In this house, the dining experience also becomes more genuine, natural and leisurely.

A slow, quiet life, where less is more and where luxury has no place. In the decoration of charming rural houses, everything seems to have a common goal: to get away from the rush and feel every moment. For this reason, the bedroom is a key room the design of which must reflect all this calm. In this case, it's located on the second floor, and I promise you that I've rarely seen such cozy bedrooms. Let’s go upstairs, it's worth it, it's the best retreat any home would wish to have.

In keeping with the overall aesthetic, the bedroom keeps the connection with nature alive. The furniture is made of solid wood, the bed linen is made of 100% cotton, the lamps are made of fibres and even the furnishing accessories are handmade. All very soft and cozy to provide intimacy and a lot of serenity.

I told you, it's like a refuge, a place away from the world, designed conscientiously for your well-being and comfort. The space is balanced, harmonious and generous in all its aspects. Here, it's also easy to get completely lost and forget about everything.

I love all the sensations that this charming cottage offers. Thanks to the décor, it looks really pretty and one of a kind. The rustic style is simply magical.
